Video Biography

As CEO of Etopia USA, Jeremy oversees strategy and operations of the company's early work in North America from his home state of New York. Jeremy is actively developing partnerships and exploring new opportunities to bring Etopia's energy, construction, and intelligent technology (ECITech) solutions to new markets while overseeing design and construction teams that are developing the company's first pilot projects.

Jeremy is an accomplished professional in green buildings, resilient cities and the circular economy. Sustainable energy and water systems and organisations with heart are his passion. Prior to joining Etopia Jeremy served as the Director for Technical Policy at the US Green Building Council (USGBC). For more than a decade, the USGBC entrusted Jeremy to lead and manage government relations and advocacy with cities, states, and both corporate and professional stakeholders across the USA. Prior to his work with USGBC, Jeremy served as project manager at altPOWER, deploying solar and wind energy in the New York metropolitan area. He has also established and run an independent consultancy advising resilient cities and sustainable business.

Jeremy is a Fellow with the Environmental Leadership Program and serves on the board of the Emerald Cities Collaborative, an organisation focused on sustainable, just, and inclusive cities. He also advises Bristol2Beijing, a global tandem cycling expedition that is redefining what's possible with a cancer diagnosis. Jeremy maintains a LEED professional credential and serves as a corps member of the Climate Reality Project. He earned his Masters of Science from the University of Oxford and his Bachelor of Arts from Washington University in St. Louis.
